Senior Chemist - Medical Device Manufacturing

CREGG has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Chemist with a medical device manufacturing background to join our Galway-based client.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on drugs and drug combination products with Liquid/Gas Chromatography, Elution, Spectroscopic and Wet Chemistry techniques.
• Develop and validate analytical test methods.
• Conduct laboratory investigations ensuring timely disposition/closure.
• Accurately report and interpret results, trend data, investigate findings and produce technical reports.
• Collaborate with on-site departments (Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Engineering) to ensure efficient and robust processes.
• Provide technical support for instrumentation and analytical methodology and execute troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce testing lead times and cost.
• Plan and schedule activities independently to meet project timelines.
• Support training of new colleagues.
• Support internal and external audit programs.
• Assist with regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• Level 8 degree in a science or engineering related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
