Job Description

Lead with compassion. Grow with purpose.

Are you an experienced care professional ready to take the next step in leadership? At CareRight, we're looking for a Senior Care Supervisor to lead a team of dedicated carers in delivering truly person-centred care across Teignbridge and Torbay.

This is more than just a supervisory role, it's a chance to shape the quality of care in our growing homecare service, mentor a passionate team, and help set the standard for compassionate, high-quality support in the community.

The Role

As a Senior Care Supervisor, you'll manage a small care team or 'pod', providing both hands-on care (20 hours/week) and supervisory oversight (20 hours/week). Working closely with families, professionals, and our internal team, you'll ensure consistent care quality, regulatory compliance, and strong team morale.

You'll also play a key role in:

  • Supervising and mentoring a team of around 10 carers (with support from a Deputy Supervisor)
  • Supporting our out-of-hours service through participation in the on-call rota
  • Onboarding new staff through interviewing, induction, and shadowing
  • Conducting care plan assessments and regular reviews
  • Leading training sessions and carrying out unannounced spot checks
  • Monitoring compliance and updating our care software systems
  • Liaising with health professionals and client families to ensure continuity of care

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a supervisory or care management role
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and care standards
  • A compassionate, client-focused approach to care
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across South Devon
  • Flexibility to provide guidance and support when needed

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: Up to £32,000 per year, plus overtime and bonus opportunities
  • 28 days paid holiday
  • Company car (as agreed), mobile phone, laptop, and uniform
  • Paid travel time and mileage allowance
  • Employee incentives, team events, and opportunities for career progression
  • A structured 40-hour workweek split between leadership duties and care delivery
