A caring role in a place that feels like home

At Chirk Court, we provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia.

This is a true care home environment-focused on dignity, routine, and creating a place where residents feel safe, comfortable and valued every day.

You'll be working in a small household of 10 residents, giving you the time to build relationships and provide care that feels personal-not rushed.

If you take pride in doing care properly, and treating people with patience and respect, you'll feel at home here.

What your day might look like
  • Supporting residents with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
  • Administering medication safely
  • Spending time with residents-talking, listening, noticing changes
  • Helping create a calm, homely environment
  • Leading and supporting care staff on shift
  • Supporting with rota planning to keep things running smoothly

You'll also have the support of other senior staff across the home-you're not expected to manage things alone.

What matters most

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is genuinely caring and patient
  • Is confident taking the lead when needed
  • Understands the importance of dignity in care
  • Can support residents living with dementia
Qualifications

You'll need one of the following (or be willing to work towards it with our support):

  • Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (NVQ/QCF/Diploma)
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • All Wales Induction Framework (or willingness to complete)

We'll support you to continue your development, including completing your Level 3 and maintaining Social Care Wales registration.

What you'll get in return
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 30)
  • Option to buy or sell leave
  • Up to 8% pension contribution
  • Free hot meals on shift
  • Paid Social Care Wales registration
  • Enhanced maternity package
  • Blue Light discounts and high street savings
  • Work for an organisation recognised for Mental Health & Wellbeing
