Family-Owned Stand-Alone 13 Residents Specialist Care for Adults with Learning Disabilities

Looking for a rewarding senior care role in a small, friendly setting where your leadership and experience make a real difference?

We are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to join a privately owned, stand-alone residential care service in Allendale, Northumberland. Supporting 13 residents with learning disabilities and complex care needs, this is a close-knit, family-run environment where residents' individuality is celebrated, and staff have time to provide attentive, person-centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and oversee high-quality, person-centred care
  • Support and mentor care staff on shift
  • Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks
  • Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with families and colleagues
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction
What We're Looking For
  • Previous care experience, ideally in a residential or specialist setting
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care required; Level 3 preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and support a small care team
  • Compassionate, professional, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities
