We are hiring a Senior Grade Cardiac Physiologist to a Hospital in Limerick,Ireland.
This is a Full-time, Permanent position.
Responsibilities- Ensure professional standards are maintained in line with Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) requirements.
- Act as a clinical advisor and provide guidance to Cardiac Physiologist colleagues and multidisciplinary team members.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical, technical, and professional developments, and support the implementation of best practices.
- Assist in managing patient schedules and waiting lists to ensure efficient use of departmental resources and facilities.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to review waiting lists regularly and support corrective action plans where required.
- Demonstrate flexibility in supporting urgent and emergency cardiac cases when necessary.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities within the department.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines in line with international standards.
- Promote and ensure adherence to best practice guidelines among all Cardiac Physiologists.
- Represent the department at meetings as delegated by the SLT and maintain competency across general and specialised areas to support departmental rotation requirements
- Experience in Echo, EP, Cath Lab, and cardiac devices is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years' full-time post-qualification experience in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and competency to perform duties associated with a senior-level role.
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety, and Risk Management practices.
- Hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin).
- Alternatively, possess an equivalent Level 8 scientific qualification recognised by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
- Candidates with the Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology are also eligible.
- Ability to independently carry out clinical responsibilities associated with senior cardiac physiology practice.
- Proven experience working effectively within hospital clinical environments following qualification.
- Must hold annual registration in the relevant division of the register maintained by the Academy for Healthcare Professionals (AHP)
