Senior Buyer, Garden

We're hiring a Senior Buyer to lead a large, high-value Garden category for a well-known UK retailer. This is a hands on role with real ownership-c.1500 SKUs and 50-60 suppliers across areas like garden buildings, tools, watering, growing and pest control.

Responsibilities

• Own the category and drive sales, margin and growth
• Build strong, commercial ranges that reflect customer demand
• Negotiate with suppliers to get the best outcomes
• Lead and develop a small buying team
• Work closely with merchandising on stock and performance

Qualifications

• Solid senior buying experience in a relevant product area
• Strong commercial instincts and analytical skills
• Experience trading in a multi-channel retail environment
• Comfortable working in a seasonal category
• Confident negotiator who delivers results
