The Senior Business Analyst will conduct Business Analysis-related project work, support the Lead BA with Portfolio management, coach, mentor, and quality assure BA's work within the portfolio. Working with the Business areas within their domain to identify & define opportunities for improvement and deliver change successfully.
What you'll be doing as a Senior Business Analyst- Build strong relationships and communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders.
- Accountable for the management of risk in respect of analysis deliverables and the overall requirements position of a project or programme assignment.
- Have a customer-centred outlook, working closely with business areas and Business Analysts on opportunities, guiding and positively challenging preconceptions, and driving collaboration across teams to optimise opportunities within their domain.
- Support Project Leads and teams to prioritise and make decisions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the community, helping lead the adoption of agile principles, practices, and cultural changes to improve how Thames Water delivers change across the organisation.
- Act as the escalation point for Business Analysts in projects and other project stakeholders for all Business Analysis activities and deliverables, facilitating discussions to agree on a common understanding for resolution and remedial action planning.
- Provide Quality Assurance for Business Analyst deliverables and overarching service offering.
- Experience in working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Base location - Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office- Clear Water Court. (with some additional travel to sites as needed)
Working pattern - Monday to Friday, 36 hours
What you should bring to the role- BCS Diploma or Equivalent
- Extensive experience working in a Digital Business Analysis project environment.
- Some Portfolio management experience for incoming project ideas.
- Experience in managing teams of Business Analysts.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others.
- Ability to present information clearly and succinctly at varying levels of the organisation, with emphasis on simplifying complex business and technical concepts.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Competitive salary from £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
