On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract based in London on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office).
Purpose of the Role:
This London-based role seeks a seasoned senior business analyst to join the Operational Risk Management - Strategic Control Execution Analytics Team, focusing on regulatory and audit remediation, data analysis, and process automation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proven track record in resolving audit findings and managing multiple time-sensitive deliverables. Responsibilities include oversight of audit point remediation and closure evidence, independent execution of automation initiatives, and enhancements to support the New Product Approval and New Transaction Approval frameworks-particularly the Systematic Product Review process. The role also involves contributing to Product Governance through control implementation, audit closure, and efficiency-driven reengineering projects.
What you'll do:
- Conduct data analysis on UBR (UnternehmensBereichsRechnung - Business Area Accounting) and product family datasets, delivering reporting and automation solutions such as Power Apps, while ensuring accurate documentation is maintained.
- Oversee control execution and remediation of audit findings related to the Systematic Product Review (SPR) process and controls.
- Advise senior managers on identifying and addressing gaps in audit findings, offering constructive suggestions for resolution.
- Translate business, control, and regulatory requirements into system specifications, collaborating with project managers and developers to implement solutions.
- Create management information (MI) reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support ongoing governance activities and ensure operational continuity through run-the-bank processes.
The skills you'll need:
- Good understanding on Financial Products, and Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, with a strong focus on data analysis involving trade source and reference data systems.
- Proven track record in remediating and closing regulatory and audit findings related to run-the-bank controls, ideally with experience in a consulting or advisory capacity.
- Proficient in coding languages such as SQL and Python, and experienced with data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Skilled in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Query.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong workload management and communication skills.
