Job Description

Our clients, a retail group in County Kerry is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the day to day financial operations across multiple locations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls, and support management with timely financial information in a fast paced retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across multiple retail entities
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Process VAT returns and ensure Revenue compliance
  • Assist with payroll coordination and cash flow monitoring
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and year end audit preparation
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and controls
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally in retail or multi site operations
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, and Irish accounting practices including AP and AR
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Salary is open to negotiation based on experiences.
