About us

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is a community teaching hospital based in Wonford, Exeter. The 80 bed facility offers a full range of inpatient, day case and outpatient services across orthopaedics, cardiology, general medicine, and more, supported by a modern pathology laboratory and an advanced radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality pathology services and share coverage of the on call, out of hours service.
• Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control.
• Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures to enhance patient experience.
• Lead the quality management of the Haematology department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• HCPC registered.
• Degree level qualification (MSc Biomedical Science or equivalent) with laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science, including significant Haematology and morphology experience.
• Good working knowledge of a range of analytical equipment and techniques.
• Strong communication and team working skills, with a commitment to high levels of customer service.
• Highly motivated, able to multi task and meet deadlines.
