Senior Bid Writer

Position: Senior Writing Lead

Location: UK (within the Infrastructure Pre-Construction Team)

Overview: STRABAG is seeking an experienced Senior Writing Lead to join our Pre-Construction Team. The role involves developing technical bid content across the civils infrastructure sector, demonstrating knowledge of construction and engineering processes, storytelling, and high-quality content production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop evidence-based and technical responses for bids.
2. Lead answer planning and review sessions.
3. Interview technical, operational, and business experts.
4. Ensure responses meet internal and external deadlines.
5. Support and guide junior writers to meet quality standards.
6. Assist in win strategy and theme workshops.
7. Contribute to the development of efficient writing and review processes.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Degree or HND in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
2. Established bid writing experience, especially in complex construction, engineering, and civils infrastructure bids.
3. Ability to analyze and structure complex information, articulate win strategies and client drivers.
4. Excellent written English and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and presentation skills.
6. Proficiency in Office 365 (MS Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
7. Experience in bidding within energy, utilities, water, transport, and tunneling sectors (highly desirable).
8. Experience working with external joint venture partners and frameworks.
