Job Description

The Senior Backend Ruby Engineer will be instrumental in bolstering the functionality and reliability of the core systems. This role provides a unique chance to delve into backend technologies, working in tandem with both the Product Team and Front-end Engineers to creatively respond to customer needs. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring and expanding the backend team, ensuring exemplary standards in code quality and development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage actively with all aspects of our current codebase, utilizing an efficient development workflow.
• Handle a wide range of technical challenges across various layers of the system.
• Support the growth and evolution of the backend engineering team.
• Collaborate with the Product Team and Front-end Engineers to gain insights into customer requirements and challenges.
• Develop technical solutions aimed at enhancing the features and architecture of our platform.

Requirements

• Proficient in Ruby, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience working with large datasets and within event-driven environments.
• A genuine enthusiasm for Open Source-if you have contributed to open source projects or leveraged open source tools, we would love to hear about it!
• Preferred: Experience with billing or tax-related projects, whether in implementing, maintaining, or integrating billing systems with business tools (such as CRM or finance software).
• A strong drive to engage in the early stages of co-developing a product and influencing the future of the organization.
