Senior Associate, Litigation

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their litigation practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Jersey Advocate with a minimum of five years' relevant experience, including prior to local qualification, who is looking to engage in challenging and high-quality legal matters as a vital part of the team. The successful candidate will take charge of daily case management with support from the Partners, oversee the coordination of work, and ensure that clients receive a high-quality, timely, and responsive service. Additionally, this role provides the chance to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, as well as to share knowledge and experience throughout the team. Senior Associates will also play a significant role in the business operations of the practice, which includes building and maintaining client relationships, contributing to business development efforts, and managing the financial aspects of their cases from budgeting to billing and collections.

Job Duties:

• Manage and run cases on a day-to-day basis with Partner support
• Ensure clients receive high-quality, timely, and responsive service
• Supervise and develop junior lawyers
• Share knowledge and expertise within the team
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Contribute to business development and pursue new opportunities
• Take responsibility for the financial management of matters, including budgets, billing, and collections

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Jersey Advocate with a minimum of five years' relevant experience
• Strong technical abilities and sound judgment
• Ability to think effectively under pressure
• Organisational skills to manage competing priorities
• Enjoyment of collaborative and collegiate work environments
