What you'll do:This role is with Adopt South, the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities, with Hampshire County Council as the employer.
Are you an Assistant Clinical Psychologist with the skills and experience to support our multidisciplinary Adoption Support team?
Adopt South has received Department of Education funding to develop a multi-agency support model for families and children.
The role involves in-person and online consultations with families and children dealing with behaviour, trauma, and attachment issues, as well as knowledge sharing and training.
What we're looking for:We seek enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Clinical Psychologists eager to support our growth and practice transformation, sharing our commitment to helping all children reach their potential.
We support applications from all Assistant Clinical Psychologists. The successful candidate may receive DDP training or further certification, including training in Virtual Reality (VR) applications.
The core approach involves understanding developmental trauma and applying Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) clinically and theoretically, alongside other therapeutic methods such as Video Interaction Guidance, CBT, and Non-Violent Resistance, all with an attachment focus.
This role is based within the Adopt South team, with case and line management support from senior colleagues and supervision from the Adopt South Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
