Our client is looking for a Senior Architect or Senior Technologist to join our thriving Commercial team in Bedford. If you thrive on the challenge of high-stakes industrial, retail, and logistics projects and take pride in delivering flawless construction packages, we want to hear from you. As a Senior member of the team, you won't just be drawing; you'll be leading. You will work across all RIBA stages (1-6), with a specific focus on the technical "sharp end"-producing detailed construction information and managing works on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Projects: Manage key deadlines and act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants.
- Technical Excellence: Translate initial ideas into robust Planning, Tender, and Construction sets.
- Collaborate & Coordinate: Check and integrate information from external consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Site Presence: Independently attend site visits and meetings across London, the Midlands, and the Home Counties.
You are a highly skilled professional who enjoys the "how" as much as the "why." You have a track record in commercial architecture and are comfortable balancing creative thinking with technical precision.
Your Essentials- Qualification: RIBA Part 3/ARB Qualified or MCIAT.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial, industrial, or educational sectors.
- Software Savvy: High proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling. (Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop is a major plus).
- Expert Knowledge: A deep understanding of UK Building Regulations, the planning system, and NBS specifications.
