Payrate: £500 to £700 per day (Inside IR35)

An industry-leading global music streaming service is seeking an exceptional Senior Android Consultant to join their remote, cross-functional team, focusing on cutting-edge projected car experiences (Android Auto & CarPlay). This is a high-impact, 6-month contract with an immediate start, based in London.

The Role: Drive the In-Car Experience

This is a deep-dive, technical role where you will be instrumental in the ongoing development and enhancement of the platform's Android Auto integration. You will be directly responsible for delivering new features and ensuring a world-class experience for millions of users globally.

• Core Focus: Working hands-on with the Car App Library (CAL) to design, develop, and deliver robust in-car functionality.
• High Visibility: This role involves close technical collaboration with Google's dedicated automotive teams.
• Impact: Your work will land directly in modern vehicles worldwide.

Required Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer with demonstrated expertise in the projected experiences space.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Android Developer.
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and implementing Modern Android Architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
• Specific, hands-on experience with Android Auto/Car App Library (CAL) is mandatory.
• Experience working effectively within a remote, cross-functional Agile team environment.

Desirable (Strong Plus):

• Previous experience within the Automotive Industry (Infotainment Systems, Embedded Android).
• Experience with iOS/CarPlay integration.
