About the Role

We are searching for a Financial Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join the Finance team in Dublin. The analyst will support periodic regulatory reporting to the CBI and daily regulatory accounting operations for Remitly's entities, ensuring compliance and data quality through partnership with global finance and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguarding & Regulatory Reporting
    • Prepare daily customer funds safeguarding reconciliations following local regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare regulatory returns for submission to the regulators.
    • Investigate uncategorized exceptions and data anomalies, proposing solutions and documenting resolutions.
    • Maintain working knowledge of applicable safeguarding obligations (e.g., PSD2) and reporting frameworks across Remitly's entities.
  • Data & Systems
    • Develop expertise in data flows from upstream systems to regulatory reporting outputs.
    • Partner with Engineering to build, re-engineer, and improve reporting workflows and automation.
    • Identify gaps in existing reporting infrastructure and propose scalable solutions.
    • Help standardize and document financial reporting processes for business continuity and regulatory scale.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement
    • Support new licensing processes, contributing to financial roadmap inputs and system design.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and cross functional finance initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records and audit trails for internal and external audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Hands on experience with financial reconciliations and regulatory/management reporting.
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding regimes such as PSD2 and payment institution regulatory obligations.
  • Strong data quality and integrity principles; methodical investigative approach.
  • Strong IT skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • Desirable: Experience in a CBI regulated entity, payment institution, or e money firm.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Desirable: Familiarity with AI productivity tooling (e.g., Claude) for financial analysis workflows.
  • Desirable: Experience contributing to process improvement or automation projects.
  • Desirable: Exposure to safeguarding reconciliation processes or regulatory return preparation.
Compensation

The starting base salary range for this position is typically €64,000 - €80,000. In Ireland, equity is part of the total compensation plan.
