Senior AI Engineer - Real Time Autonomy for UAVs
Location: London

We're on the lookout for a Senior AI Engineer to develop next-generation onboard intelligence for drones. This role centres on crafting advanced software that enables UAVs to perceive their surroundings, interpret behaviours, and make autonomous decisions in Real Time.
You'll work alongside seasoned UAV specialists and defence-aligned partners to build AI capabilities that have direct impact in the field-from surveillance to rapid response missions.
Your Key Responsibilities- Engineer and refine computer vision models for detection, recognition, and behavioural prediction.
- Deploy robust algorithms on edge platforms like Jetson and Embedded GPUs.
- Lead AI integration with drone sensors, gimbals, and Real Time video feeds.
- Advance capabilities in multimodal perception, including OCR and licence plate analytics.
What You Bring
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Mastery of:
- YOLO, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Real Time object tracking and sensor data fusion
- Embedded system optimization for AI workloads
- Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML pipelines for real-world use.
- Familiarity with UAV hardware and system-level AI deployment is a plus.
