Job Description
Purpose of the job 
Working closely with the Client Services Manager, Fund Accountants and Fund Accounting Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of services to a diverse portfolio of fund clients. This is a hands-on role where you'll build strong client relationships, coordinate critical operational activities and help ensure a seamless client experience. From managing bank accounts and processing transactions to supporting audits and contributing to projects, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and professional advisers, acting as a reliable point of contact and ensuring communication is clear, timely and professional.
- Work closely with the Fund Accounting team to ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting records and that client deliverables are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Support the management of fund cash flows, including processing payments and investment-related transactions within agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate the approval and payment of invoices, fees and expenses, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in line with established procedures.
- Help ensure that each structure is operated in accordance with its governing documents, service agreements and internal policies.
- Monitor compliance with investment guidelines and ongoing statutory and regulatory requirements, escalating any concerns where appropriate.
- Arrange foreign exchange transactions and other banking activities as required, while ensuring sound cash management practices are maintained.
- Maintain accurate transaction and entity records, ensuring information is complete, up to date and readily accessible.
- Take the time to understand each client structure, helping to identify risks, resolve issues and deliver a seamless client experience.
- Contribute to team projects, process improvements and other initiatives that support the continued growth and success of Ocorian and its clients.
- Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in Administration, Law, Management or a related discipline.
- Professionally qualified or working towards a qualification such as Accounting Technician Course (AAT), CGI/ICSA, ACCA or another relevant financial services certification.
- Previous experience within fund administration or financial services would be an advantage.
- Strong numerical, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and professional approach, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of client service.
- Eager to learn, develop technical expertise and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
