Job Description
Senior Administrator

Child and Family Health Devon (CFHD) have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join our Safeguarding Team - working bases will be in County Hall and Capital Court, Exeter.

Our Senior Administrator will have a key role in supporting the Specialist Safeguarding Team in processing safeguarding information and providing general administrative and organisational support for the wider business support function.

This is a permanent, PART time position (32 hours per week, Mon-Thur 9.30-4.30, Friday 9.30-4.00) with all the usual benefits offered by the NHS.

Main duties of the job
  • Use of electronic systems (patient record)
  • Preparation of sensitive electronic and paper files
  • Shared mailboxes
  • Appointment and training scheduling
  • Note taking of team meetings

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon, including;

CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust.

We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.

Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.

Person Specification Knowledge
  • Computer Literate
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Willing to undertake training relevant to the post
  • Good knowledge of a wide range of office procedures
Experience
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Clerical, administrative or reception experience (minimum 2 years). Experience within a customer care, healthcare, education or social care setting.
  • Experience with minute taking
Qualifications
  • Good general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent experience
