Butler Rose are excited to be representing a successful, and growing accountancy practice as they look to hire a Senior Accountant. Having come about through business growth, this is a brand new role which will manage a team of experienced Junior Client Managers. This is a commercial, consultative position which will deal with all client interactions, advisory, and on-boarding, as well as still running your own portfolio of complex clients.

The ideal candidate will be fully ACCA / ACA qualified and will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working for an accountancy practice. They will be confident interacting with clients and will have broad experience covering general accounting for Ltd.'s, partnerships, sole traders, and LLP's

This is a hands on role which will include a supervisory element of overseeing 5 Accounts Seniors / Junior Client Managers.

Role Responsibilities:

• Statutory accounts preparation for a diverse range of clients.
• Preparation of corporation tax and submission of CT600's to the HMRC
• Experience in completing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Attend client meeting and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Effectively manage time to ensure work is completed within agreed time and budget
• Oversee the work of 5 junior accounts team members.
• Ensuring the team workflow runs smoothly and that all deadlines are met.

Person Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience working in a UK based accountancy practice.
• ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Current knowledge of statutory accounting, corporation/personal tax and VAT
• Excellent communication skills and adept and developing and maintaining strong working relationships
• Experience running your own portfolio of LTD's, Sole traders, LLP's and partnerships.
