Senior Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated accountant to join a progressive and supportive team in Birmingham as a Senior Accountant / Client Manager.

• Review bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts across a varied portfolio.

• Oversee statutory accounts, corporation tax, and personal tax compliance.

• Prepare advisory and technical documentation for senior review.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing deadlines and queries efficiently.

• Support Managers and Directors on client workflow, including Accounts, Tax, Payroll, and VAT.

• Develop a thorough understanding of clients' business operations to deliver commercially sound advice.

• Guide clients on best practices in system setup, controls, and software use.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to staff training and development.

• Identify areas to streamline internal processes for greater efficiency.

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong technical grounding.

• Minimum of two years' post-qualified practice experience.

• Proficient with MS Office and Xero; experience with Iris or Sage is beneficial.

• Confident communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Skilled in managing teams and fostering professional growth.

• A competitive salary of £45,000-£50,000, reflecting your experience and contribution.

• 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, with an additional day added after your first year.
