Senior Account Manager

In this role, you'll focus on developing and nurturing long-term partnerships with both existing and prospective clients across our Manufacturing portfolio. This includes leading brands like British Baker and Food Manufacture, as well as exciting digital and live event solutions such as the Baking Industry Awards and the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.
What you'll be doing:
- Building a strong understanding of each client's business, strategy and objectives to foster strong, long-term partnerships.
- Taking a creative and consultative approach to sales, proactively sourcing new leads and crafting tailored proposals using a broad suite of solutions, including digital advertising, newsletters, email marketing, webinars, online events, and sponsorship of in-person events.
- Proactively arranging and leading virtual or face-to-face meetings with both new and existing clients to demonstrate the value of our marketing solutions and how they align with client goals.
- Overseeing campaign delivery, ensuring campaigns go live as scheduled, monitoring performance and providing clients with clear post-campaign reporting.
- Consistently meet monthly commercial targets by bringing in new business, renewing contracts on time and identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment by sharing best practices and supporting the collective success of the team and brands.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with cross-functional teams across the business to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Represent our Manufacturing brands at key industry events (primarily in the UK, with occasional travel to mainland Europe).
- Attending and supporting the delivery of our own events throughout the year
What you'll need:
- A proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in business development.
- Expert in nurturing client relationships while proactively identifying new business opportunities.
- Skilled in consultative selling, delivering complex and tailored marketing solutions. Aligning solutions with client objectives to drive measurable impact.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels and functions.
- A strategic and innovative thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- A curious mindset, eager to learn and continuously develop skills.
- Able to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders through clear, confident communication.
