What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the design and delivery of complex bridge and infrastructure projects
  • Producing and overseeing high-quality engineering designs, reports and technical outputs
  • Acting as technical authority on projects, signing off complex solutions
  • Managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Building and developing strong client relationships
  • Supporting business development - from client engagement through to winning new work
  • Mentoring and developing senior engineers within the team
  • Taking ownership of project financial performance and commercial delivery
  • Representing the business at client meetings, industry events and technical forums
What They're Looking For
  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (ICE/IStructE accredited)
  • Chartered Engineer (ICE or equivalent)
  • Experience acting as Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE)
  • Strong background in bridge engineering, ideally within rail or major infrastructure
  • Proven experience leading projects and managing teams
  • Commercial awareness - comfortable owning budgets and contributing to winning work
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
Experience Level

Typically 8+ years' experience, with a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects and stepping into leadership responsibilities.

What Sets This Apart
  • Genuine opportunity to influence projects and grow a team
  • Exposure to the full project lifecycle - from winning work through to delivery
  • Strong pipeline across rail, infrastructure and heavy civils
  • A business with a practical, solutions-led approach (no over-engineering for the sake of it)
  • Clear route to further leadership and strategic involvement
Additional Info
  • Full UK driving licence beneficial
  • PTS / Sentinel card advantageous
  • Experience with NEC4 contracts preferred
  • Some site work and occasional overnight/weekend work may be required
