Role Overview

We are looking for a SEND Co ordinator (SENDCo) to work alongside our existing full time SENDCo, under the direction of the Head Teacher and Inclusion Lead/Deputy Head Teacher, as part of a proactive inclusion team. The role is non class based with an initial 0.3 FTE commitment delivering pupil pupil assessment (PPA) cover across the school (equivalent to three afternoons per week).

Responsibilities

You will contribute to the strategic development and delivery of SEND provision across the school, focusing on Years 4 6, and work closely with inclusion teachers and a skilled team of teachers and learning support assistants. You will promote high quality inclusive practice and support pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD and other complex learning needs.

Qualifications and requirements

The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide documentary evidence of entitlement to work in the UK together with evidence of relevant qualifications. Please note that this post is not suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT).

Compensation

Pay will be on the Main Pay Scale M1-M6 (£32,916-£42,352). Upper Pay Scale and a Targeted Leadership/Development (TLR) allowance may be considered for the right candidate. The school does not recognise pay portability.
