SEND Primary Tutor Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Primary Tutor to work with two brothers who are currently not attending school. This role involves delivering highly personalised, 1:1 tuition to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing in a calm, structured home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver18 hours per week of 1:1 tuition(separate sessions for each child)
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with theprimary curriculum
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range ofSEND needs
• Provide2 hours per week PPAfor planning, assessment, and progress tracking
• Build positive, trusting relationships with both pupils
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Liaise with parents/carers and, where appropriate, other professionals

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Previous experience teaching in UK primary schools
• Proven experience working with children withSEND
• Confident delivering1:1 tuitionoutside of a school setting
• Patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
• Strong behaviour management and ability to create a safe learning environment

Desirable

• Experience working with children who areout of school / EOTAS
• Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
• Familiarity with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
