Job Description
Overview

We are working closely with a "good" SEND school (Ofsted rating, 2023) in Scunthorpe who require several Teaching Assistants due to exciting expansion and increasing pupil numbers. This is to start asap, long term and will become permanent for the right people. The role is full time, working Monday to Friday 8:30am 3:30pm with pay rates of up to £100 per day.

The school supports pupils aged years with special educational needs and complex learning difficulties ranging from mild to severe. Some pupils have physical needs and challenges too so some personal and intimate care may be required. The pupils are divided into three main groups, with the successful Teaching Assistants beginning their career in the mild group which is most similar to a mainstream setting and pupils. As you become more comfortable and confident in the school, you will then be expected to move into the more complex groups as and when support is needed. Here, you will be provided with immediate support for any challenging behaviours as needed via radio / walkie talkie support request. The support system at this school really is impressive and delivers a true "all for one", team mentality.

The school offers excellent onboarding and support, with continuous learning and development opportunities. This role would be ideal for any existing Teaching Assistants looking for a more rewarding and fulfilling opportunity with impeccable support and development opportunities or those from a healthcare background looking for a change of career. Also, please apply if you are passionate about supporting those with special needs and learning disabilities.
