TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in West Lancashire, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs. The setting provides a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to build confidence, independence and emotional resilience.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support students with ASC and PDA, both in and out of the classroom, helping to manage behaviours, reduce anxiety and promote engagement with learning.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with ASC
- Knowledge or experience supporting students with PDA
- Previous experience in a SEND school or alternative provision
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong behaviour management and de escalation skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
