- Work with students who are non-verbal and utilise alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, visual timetables, and communication aids.
- Support pupils with challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Assist with personal care where required.

- Promote a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Experienced working with non-verbal individuals and implementing communication strategies.
- Confident managing behaviours that challenge in a calm, patient, and consistent manner.
- Resilient, empathetic, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
- Experience within a specialist school, SEND provision, care setting, or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Team Teach, MAPA, or other positive behaviour management training would be advantageous.
What We Offer:
- A supportive and welcoming school environment.
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
- Competitive rates of pay.
