SEMH Support September Start Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?

We are working with a welcoming and nurturing specialist provision seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team from September.

Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available to suit the right candidate.

In this rewarding role, you will support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them to access learning in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will adapt your approach to meet each child's individual needs, following their Education, Health and Care Plan and personalised support plans.

Building positive relationships, promoting wellbeing, and maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding will be at the heart of everything you do.

The role

Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive learning experiences.

Adapt strategies to meet individual learning and emotional needs.

Work collaboratively with school staff to provide consistent support.

Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

What we're looking for

Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH (preferred). A patient, resilient, and caring approach.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay: £100-£140 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely impact the lives of young people while being part of a supportive and child-centred team, we'd love to hear from you!

We're proud to be an inclusive employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and committed to creating accessible opportunities across education.

As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement.

Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Jobs are provided by the Find a Job Service from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
