We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Eltham, working with children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities designed for children with PMLD.
• Support the lead teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
• Facilitate communication between children using appropriate strategies, including non-verbal techniques.
• Monitor and support the children's social and emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with other professionals such as therapists and counselors as needed.
• Assist with personal care tasks when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, particularly with PMLD children.
• Understanding of the specific needs associated with PMLD.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
