Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess individualised lessons tailored to each student's needs and abilities
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and accessible classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop personalised learning plans
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to engage and inspire students
  • Monitor and record student progress, adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs
  • Participate in school-wide training and professional development focused on SEND best practices
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN settings
  • Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to managing challenging behaviour positively
