Axcis Education is supporting an Autism/Complex Needs-specific school in Erdington. The school is a secondary SEND institution catering to individuals with a lead diagnosis of autism. We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS) to work across all ages and varying levels of need as a cover teacher. Pupils range from 11 to 16 years on the main site, with a post 16 site ( years) nearby.
The appointed teacher will support main class teachers with planning and preparation but will mainly be responsible for the delivery of lessons and post lesson assessment. We want a teacher who is keen to become part of the team and who shows a high level of dedication to our young people. The role is casual cover, 4 5 days per week, with an ASAP start.
The school is well equipped with clinical staff including counsellors and therapists and the facilities required to support individuals that have lived through challenging life experiences through therapeutic approaches.

Requirements- Degree in secondary education or PGCE - Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
- In depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4 - Essential
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and a lead diagnosis of autism - Essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required (or we will carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position) - Essential
- Minimum of 2 good references - Essential
