SEND Teacher - Specialist ASC SchoolAre you a passionate SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a specialist setting? Do you want to work in a school where small class sizes, excellent support and personalised learning allow pupils to thrive? This specialist ASC school in East Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their supportive and experienced team.As a SEND Teacher, you will teach small classes of pupils with a range of additional needs, with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) being the primary diagnosis for many students. You will deliver engaging and highly differentiated lessons that support academic progress, communication, independence and emotional development within a structured and nurturing environment.You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff to create a positive learning experience tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that is committed to delivering outstanding SEND provision. This role requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching children with Autism or Complex Needs is highly desirable.Job Role:
- Teaching small classes of pupils with SEND, primarily ASC
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Creating a structured, calm and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils' communication, social and emotional development
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
- Using a range of strategies to support engagement and progress
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Work in a supportive and well-resourced specialist setting
- Teach small classes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios
- Be part of a collaborative and experienced SEND team
- Receive ongoing support and professional development
- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS 6
