We are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to work in a school environment in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals from a care background who want to gain classroom experience, or for those with existing experience supporting children and young people with SEND needs, including Autism (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and other complex learning or medical needs.
Responsibilities

Support pupils with their personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first aid, and overall welfare

Assist pupils with complex medical needs and provide emergency support when required

Support communication and speech development for pupils with additional needs

Provide help with personal care, feeding, and hydration

Assist with mobility, including lifting, carrying, or wheelchair support

Promote inclusion, engagement, and independence in daily school life
We're seeking attentive, patient, and empathetic individuals with transferable skills from care, support, or related backgrounds. Previous experience with SEND pupils is highly desirable, but a passion for making a difference is essential.

All candidates must have an Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service or willing to apply), and original qualifications must be verified before placement. Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
