Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher to join our inclusive early years provision in Southwark. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to ensuring children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive exceptional support at the very start of their educational journey.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences that promote development, independence, and wellbeing for all children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning in line with the EYFS Framework

  • Identify, assess, and support children with emerging and diagnosed SEND needs

  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Deliver targeted interventions to support communication, social development, and early learning

  • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals

  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers

  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate, compliant records

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience within EYFS

  • Strong knowledge of SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, and SEMH

  • Experience adapting teaching strategies and environments to meet individual needs

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach

Desirable:

  • SEND qualification or additional specialist training

  • Experience working within a specialist provision or resource base

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
