SEND (EYFS) Teacher - Croydon

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate EYFS SEND Teacher to join our inclusive early years provision in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed practitioner who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at the earliest stage of their educational journey.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, tailored learning experiences that promote progress, independence, and wellbeing for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the EYFS Framework

• Identify and assess children with emerging or diagnosed SEND needs

• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Deliver targeted interventions to support communication, social skills, and early development

• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies

• Foster strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers

• Track and monitor progress, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching within EYFS

• Strong understanding of SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, and SEMH

• Experience adapting curriculum and provision to meet individual needs

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

• A patient, proactive, and child-centred approach

Desirable:

• SEND qualification or specialist training

• Experience working in a specialist setting or resource base
