East Birmingham: Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs?
The school is seeking a Class Teacher to join their team, teaching a small group of primary aged pupils with a range of learning needs.
You will teach a class of no more than 8 pupils, supported by experienced teaching assistants who collaborate to ensure every child receives personalised learning and care.
The school offers a warm welcome to new staff and values teamwork, communication and celebrating pupil progress.
Responsibilities- Teach a small primary SEND class and plan engaging and accessible lessons
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants to support pupils' personal and academic development
- Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory regulation and learning
- Establish strong relationships with families, therapists and external support professionals
- Encourage independence, confidence and emotional well being
- A highly supportive team and leadership who prioritise pupil and staff well being
