Job Description
SEND Class Teacher - Special School 
Are you a passionate SEND Teacher looking to make a genuine difference every day? This outstanding special school in Atherstone is seeking an enthusiastic QTS SEND Class Teacher to join its team from September. You will teach a small class of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), communication needs and associated learning needs.
The Role- Teaching a small class of pupils with special educational needs
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
- Supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and communication needs
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals
- Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social development
- Building strong relationships with families and external agencies
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching primary or secondary aged pupils
- A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEND
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- The ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience within a SEND setting is desirable but not essential
