Job Description
SEND Class Teacher - Primary Complex Needs 
The SEND Class Teacher position in Birmingham involves leading a primary class for pupils with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition and physical disabilities. This full-time role offers a daily rate between £168 and £235. You will plan and deliver tailored lessons, using specialist resources to support communication and learning. The school provides excellent facilities and a team of experienced teaching assistants.
Responsibilities- Teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs
- Planning and delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons
- Supporting communication, independence and personal development
- Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist professionals
- Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
- Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Building strong relationships with families and external agencies
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching children with SEND or complex needs
- A strong understanding of Autism, communication needs and personalised learning
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A patient, creative and nurturing approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
