Job Title: SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) - Multi-Site Role

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire (Split across two local academies)

Company: Choice Teachers

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £43,199 - £61,700 per annum (AST 1-12, dependent on experience) + £10,174 SENCO Allowance

About the Role

Are you an experienced, passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator looking for a rewarding, impactful opportunity? Choice Teachers is proud to partner with a highly regarded multi-academy trust to recruit a dedicated SENCo to work across two of their local schools: a vibrant secondary academy and a supportive primary academy.

By combining this crucial leadership position across both sites, you will have the unique opportunity to shape SEN provision, support diverse student demographics, and ensure every child receives the tailored education they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordinate provision for pupils with SEND across both academies.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Lead, develop, and support a dedicated team of learning support assistants and specialists.
  • Monitor, track, and evaluate student progress, implementing targeted interventions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and the SEND Code of Practice.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Criteria):

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCO): Or currently working towards completion within statutory timeframes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage staff across multiple settings.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills to balance the demands of two dynamic environments.
