SENCO £43,000 - £47,000 Permanent - September 2026The Role:As a SENCO you will be an integral part of the SLT of this amazing school where you will also take on a dual leadership role. Your primary brief is the development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision across the school, sharing inspiration and strategies to create a whole of school approach to ensuring the children and young adults you support are able to reduce barriers to learning, build confidence, gain social awareness and enjoy learning.Part of your role will be to work with the SLT, colleagues, parents, carers and third party agencies to ensure that every connection with a child has value and impact.You will help with direction, supporting staff, coordinating interventions, and making sure pupils with additional needs receive effective and well-planned support across the school.The Candidate:We are looking for a qualified SENCO, experienced leader with a strong understanding of inclusive practice, and the day-to-day realities of a SEN provision. You communicate clearly, build strong relationships with staff and families, and can balance whole-school life with the detail needed to make SEN support work effectively. You are confident leading others and committed to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs.Requirements.
- SENCO and leadership experience.
- Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication with staff, parents, external agencies, and wider stakeholders.
- Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Career Commitment - A strong commitment to leadership, inclusion, pupil progress, and the continued success of the school.
