SEN Teaching Assistant in Henleaze

• Henleaze, Bristol Start: ASAP Hours: Full time or part time A welcomingprimary school in Henleaze is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant toprovide focused 1:1 support.

Role Overview

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
• Encourage engagement, confidence and emotional regulation.
• Support classroom routines, transitions and small group work.

Candidate Profile

• Previous SEN experience is essential.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and rapport building skills.
• Level 2/3 TA qualification advantageous.
• Driving licence beneficial.
• SEN training highly valued, including:
  • Understanding Autism
  • ADHD Awareness
  • Team Teach / De escalation Training
  • Trauma Informed Practice
  • BSL or communication based training
  • Makaton (highly desirable for supporting communication needs)
