1:1 SEN SUPPORT ASSISTANT - SEPTEMBER START
Todmorden Primary School Full-Time
Academics Educational Recruitment are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Todmorden from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide individualised support to a Year 1-aged girl who has Autism and mild learning difficulties.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the child and school team, you will provide support with:
Emotional wellbeing and reassurance
Helping her feel safe, settled and confident in the school environment
Supporting her learning and development
? Providing learning support when required
Encouraging independence and positive relationships
Offering calm and reassuring support following episodes of partial seizures
? WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will ideally have experience supporting children with SEN, either:
- Within a school or education setting
- In a care/support environment
- Or through relevant personal experience
Most importantly, you will be patient, compassionate, observant and emotionally reassuring, with a genuine desire to help a young child thrive.
