SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Kidderminster, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from the Easter holidays until the end of the academic year.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full time, classroom based position supporting a child in Reception on a 1:1 basis. The role will involve providing consistent, nurturing support throughout the school day to help the child access learning, develop communication skills and engage with classroom activities.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and making a meaningful difference to a child's development and confidence in school. Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable, particularly experience working with non verbal children.

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Reception pupil throughout the school day.
• Supporting the child to access learning activities within the classroom environment.
• Using a nurturing and patient approach to support communication and engagement.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
• Encouraging the pupil's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Helping to maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Assisting with classroom routines and supporting the wider class when appropriate.

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Experience working with non verbal children is highly desirable.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A reliable and committed attitude.

• Competitive daily rate, from £88.92 to £100 per day.
