About the Role:
- Permanent Position- Full-time opportunity to make a lasting impact.
- Diverse Student Group- Over 300 students with complex and medical needs, including non-verbal and wheelchair-dependent students.
- Holistic Approach- Emphasis on a well-rounded approach to learning, incorporatingLego therapy,yoga, and other holistic strategies.
- Age Range- Working with children aged5-11 years, offering a mixed provision to cater to individual needs.
- Autism-Specific Support- Tailored support for students on the autism spectrum.
- Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a wide range of complex needs.
- Assist with medical needs, including medication administration and first aid.
- Support students in engaging with their learning using therapeutic approaches such asLego Therapyandyoga.
- Promote independence and confidence among students with various physical and emotional challenges.
- Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels supported, respected, and encouraged.
- Background inmedical or residential care, ideally with experience working with children.
- First Aid trained, with knowledge of handling medical needs and emergencies.
- Experience inmedication administrationand supporting psychotherapy practices.
- Passionate about supporting children withautism,SEMH, andcomplex needs.
- Knowledge of diverse teaching strategies, including aholistic approachto learning.
- Experience working in amixed provisionsetting, with a strong focus on inclusive education.
- Explorepermanent performing arts opportunitiesto further develop creative skills.
