EduTalent Group are recruiting for a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Medway that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for an Early Years and Key Stage 1 class to start as soon as possible until the end of the Academic Year.
The school provides a nurturing and structured environment supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, with a strong focus on early development, communication and social skills.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Early Years and KS1 pupils with SEN needs
- Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan targets
- Support pupils' communication, social and emotional development
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and wider SEN professionals
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, adjusting teaching approaches where needed
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and a consistent routine
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Experience working within Early Years or Key Stage 1, ideally within SEN settings
- Understanding of a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
