EduTalent Group are recruiting for a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Medway that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for an Early Years and Key Stage 1 class to start as soon as possible until the end of the Academic Year.

The school provides a nurturing and structured environment supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, with a strong focus on early development, communication and social skills.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Early Years and KS1 pupils with SEN needs
  • Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan targets
  • Support pupils' communication, social and emotional development
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and wider SEN professionals
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, adjusting teaching approaches where needed
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and a consistent routine
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Requirements
  • Experience working within Early Years or Key Stage 1, ideally within SEN settings
  • Understanding of a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
  • A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
