Protocol Education are currently recruiting an SEN Teacher to work within a specialist SEND school in the Sunderland area.
The school supports pupils aged 4-19 with Education, Health and Care Plans, with needs including autism, learning difficulties, sensory processing differences and communication challenges.
The curriculum is designed to support both academic development and essential life skills, helping pupils build confidence and independence.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Adapting teaching approaches to suit individual pupil needs
- Supporting pupils with communication and social development
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
- Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress tracking
The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Candidates should ideally hold a DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a DBS through Protocol Education if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
