A welcoming specialist school in the Washington area is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, communication difficulties and sensory processing needs.
The school has a strong focus on creating a calm, structured environment where pupils feel secure and understood. Staff work closely together to ensure every pupil receives personalised support tailored to their individual needs.
Your Responsibilities- Support pupils during lessons and structured learning activities
- Help pupils manage transitions throughout the school day
- Encourage social interaction and communication
- Support pupils who may experience anxiety or sensory sensitivities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured learning
Small class sizes and high staff support ensure pupils receive the attention they need to thrive.
