We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Primary School SEN TA (Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant) to join our team in a mainstream school located in Plumstead. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide tailored support to children with a range of special educational needs within the classroom setting.
• Work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
• Assist in the development of social skills and positive behaviour through structured activities.
• Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role within a primary school setting.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and students.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education are preferred.
